Trails, eating & drinking—can anything be more complimentary? Take a casual roll with Main Street Lockport along the I&M Canal north to the Centennial Trail and historic Lemont for lunch and drinks at renowned Stonehouse Pub, then meander back south to Lockport's celebrated Mama Onesta's for delicious dessert.
Proceeds benefit I&M Canal Trail users in Lockport and Trails for Illinois.
This is the first of three 2017 Bike & Dine Lockport events (June 10, August 12, and September 9), each offering great dining and beautiful cycling along the historic I&M Canal.
The funds we raise will help Main Street Lockport improve connections between the I&M Canal Trail and the merchants, parks, and historical sites that make Lockport a town worth visiting. And they’ll also benefit Trails for Illinois, as we work to connect Illinois communities to an interconnected network of non-motorized trails.
We think Bike & Dines are just one of many enjoyable, popular, and easy events that Illinois towns can host to showcase the high quality of life that trails help to provide. Talk to us about helping you showcase your trail connection!
